The Partners have always considered the company's greatest asset is its loyal skilled work force. In order to ensure continuity, and to protect the companys hard earned reputation our policy is proactive and has always been to regularly recruit local school leavers as electrical contracting apprentices, who are then registered with the Joint Industry Board "JIB".
Since the formation of JT Limited "JTL" in 1990, all of our trainees have followed the four year advanced apprenticeship route which is monitored by the local JTL training officer, both in the work place with onsite visits, and at our local college Telford College of Arts and Technology "TCAT".
Two of our current employees were nominated by their JTL training officers, and reached the West Midlands regional finals for the national award of apprentice of the year.

Upon completion of this stage the trainees gain a level 3 NVQ qualification in Electrotechnical Services Electrical Installation (Building & Structures) and become JIB graded as an electrician.
Within our culture of continuous professional development, all of our operatives undertake a JIB ECS health and safety test, which has to been renewed every three years.
During 2008 nine of our Electricians completed a City and Guilds 2382-10 course and passed the examination to meet the requirements of BS:7671 IEE wiring regulations 17th Edition, and six of the electricians also achieved the C&G 2391 inspection and testing qualification.
Utilising the services of Instant Training Limited in Newport Shropshire, four of our electricians hold IPAF operator licences for powered access equipment scissor lifts and booms, whilst ten hold PASMA certificates for the correct assembly and use of our light alloy mobile access towers.
GRA-BERN is a subscribing client of Wenlock Health and Safety Limited and with their assistance first gained CHAS accreditation in 2006 which is renewed annually.
Recently completed training in 2009 includes Asbestos Awareness. Emergency First Aid At Work courses commenced at Telford Occupational Health Service Ltd in December and will continue throughout the first 6 months of 2010.
